A spokesman for the ministry, Awni Dhiab, told the Iraqi News Agency (INA): “The ministry is in the process of studying a strategic water and lands in Iraq,” noting that “more than 20 dams have been identified on the Tigris and Euphrates and the tributaries into which these dams flow only to generate energy and not for storage. ".
