The spokesman for the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Yahya Rasoul, announced today, Thursday, the arrest of a leader from Daesh in the Sharqat district.
Rasoul said in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA): "The Counter-Terrorism Service carried out a lightning operation in the Shirqat district today, which resulted in the arrest of a leader of Daesh terrorist gangs, after monitoring, investigating and accurate intelligence information."
He added, "The operations of the Counter-Terrorism Service, which have been continuing for four days in various regions, aim to arrest the top leaders of terrorist gangs and hand them over to justice."
