The Prime Minister’s advisor for election affairs, Abdul Hussein Al-Hindawi, on Wednesday outlined basic conditions that could provide fertile ground for early elections.
Al-Hindawi told the Iraqi News Agency (INA), that "early elections must be preceded by several conditions, including the completion of the electoral law, the creation of the electoral commission, the seizure of arms and money, as well as the mobilization of the public."
He pointed out that "there are tangible data that can be prepared for early elections."
Prime Minister Mustafa Al-Kadhmi stressed that all parties concerned should cooperate to complete the election law and lay the foundations for a fair electoral process, that he would announce soon a date for the elections.
