The Ministry of Agriculture confirmed today, Saturday, that it will supply the markets with all local crops and secure the requirements of citizens.
A spokesman for the Ministry of Agriculture, Hamid Al-Nayef, told the Iraqi News Agency (INA): "There is no problem in closing the borders due to fears of the Corona virus," noting that "the ministry has provided 25 agricultural materials produced locally."
Al-Nayef added that "the ministry has complete self-sufficiency," noting that "the ministry is reassuring the citizen that it will supply local markets with agricultural crops and secure all the requirements of citizens."
He explained that "all imported agricultural crops that are now in the market have entered illegally", stressing that "the ministry is working with the competent authorities to prevent it."
