Soylu: We didn't ask anyone to leave the country


Turkish Interior Minister, Suleiman Soylu, reiterated that his country did not ask anyone to leave its lands from asylum seekers, noting that everyone who left it, voluntarily left because he wanted to.

"In this regard, the European Union and Greece violate the immigration rules that the union has approved under the Geneva Convention and the Universal Declaration of Human Rights," said Sooilo.The minister stated that there were 137,878 asylum seekers who had left Turkey's land borders, since last Thursday.

On the nationalities of asylum seekers who headed towards Greece, Soylu said: 25% of them are Syrians, the rest are Afghans, Pakistanis, and other nationalities.

The flow of migrants to the western borders of Turkey began, starting on Thursday evening, after circulating news that Ankara will not hinder the movement of migrants towards Europe.
