Foreign Ministry spokesman, Dr. Ahmed Al-Sahaf, announced today, Sunday, that Foreign Minister Muhammad Ali al-Hakim discussed with his Iranian counterpart the importance of energy security in the Gulf, and the statement of freedom of international navigation in the Strait of Hormuz.
Al-Sahaf said in his statement that he received: "The Foreign Minister met his Iranian counterpart, the two sides discussed the importance of energy security in the Gulf, and the freedom of international navigation in the Strait of Hormuz, and they also discussed the date of the joint Iraqi-Iranian committee.
