The Parliamentary Security and Defense Committee revealed that three countries in the international coalition submitted a request to withdraw from Iraq.

Committee member Badr Al-Ziyadi told the Iraqi News Agency (INA): "Three countries, France, Germany, and Australia, submitted a request to the joint command to set a timetable for withdrawing their forces from Iraq," noting that "all coalition forces stopped their operations as a first step to withdraw."

He added that "the next government is responsible for setting a timetable, whether for the exit of foreign forces or the presence of military bases in some areas, especially in the Kurdistan region," noting that "there is no movement or sorties of the coalition forces at the moment."

Al-Ziyadi indicated that "the Iraqi forces have taken upon themselves the responsibility to protect the country," stressing that "the House of Representatives supports the air force, air defense, and Iraqi army flights so that they can seize the initiative."
