Beijing: The agreement will improve the Iraqi economic reality

    Chinese Ambassador to Iraq Zhang Tao said Sunday that the agreement concluded between Iraq and China will improve the economic reality of Iraq and its infrastructure.

    The media office of the Ministry of Justice said in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA) that "the Chinese ambassador, during his meeting with Minister of Justice Farouk Amin Al-Shawani, pointed to the depth of relations with Iraq, especially the economic one," noting that "the volume of trade exchange between the two countries amounts to about 30 One billion dollars annually.

    He stressed "the importance of advancing the economic agreement between Baghdad and Beijing," stressing that it "will improve the economic reality of Iraq and improve its infrastructure, including the establishment of model prisons that will be among the provisions of the agreement."

    The statement added that "Al-Shawani discussed with the Chinese ambassador the development of relations in all fields between the two countries, especially with regard to the legal side," praising "the Iraqi-Chinese historical relations, and the Chinese side's readiness to provide legal support in the area of ​​financial and administrative corruption, as well as training Judicial Department employees, and gifting the ministry advanced electronic devices.
