Al-Halbousi: The national position requires the support of the Iraqi police

Parliament Speaker Mohammed Al-Halbousi confirmed today, Thursday that the national position calls for unlimited support for the Iraqi police

A statement of the media office of the Speaker of Parliament, received by the Iraqi News Agency said: Al-Halbousi congratulated the police on the 89th anniversary of its founding and congratulated and blessed the Iraqi police, which for many decades had proven their patriotism and service to the people, and their relentless pursuit to establish social security.

He added that the role of the Iraqi police crossed the effort of confrontation, challenge and fighting in the confrontation with terrorism in the years of liberation, and presented many martyrs and wounded, and carried out exceptional humanitarian tasks in assisting the displaced and protecting peaceful demonstrators, and preserving the state institutions from sabotage and tampering.
