The Commander General of Carabinieri (Italian Police), Gen. C. A Giovanni Nistri,
Prime Minister Adel Abdul-Mahdi MET the Commander General of Carabinieri (Italian Police), Gen. C. A Giovanni Nistri and discussed cooperation between the two countries in the military and security fields.
PM Abdul Mahdi stressed the importance of training and qualifying law enforcement forces to carry out their duties in protecting security and citizens as well as ensuring that they perform their duties professionally.
“Iraqi forces succeeded in combating terrorism and the Daesh terrorist groups, and under the democratic system that recognizes the right to peaceful demonstrations, we formed a law enforcement force to protect the demonstrators and protect the security and interests of citizens. Indeed, thousands of Iraqi military personnel involved in law enforcement forces were agreed and it was agreed to organize training courses for highly qualified Iraqi trainers to complete law enforcement training missions,” said PM Abdul Mahdi.
Commander General Nistri expressed his country's desire to develop the existing cooperative relations between the two countries.
