MOP and UN discuss Iraqi Development vision

    INA – BAGHDAD

    Minister of Planning Nuri al-Dulaimi and the Deputy Special Representative of United Nations Assistance Mission (UNAMI) Marta Ruedas discussed ways of enhancing efforts to restore stability and development in the private sector.

    Al-Dulaimi held a meeting with the Deputy Special Representative of UNAMI and UN Resident Coordinator in Iraq.

    He showed his appreciation to the efforts of the UNAMI all over the country calling for increasing the international support in line with the needs and priorities of citizens, strengthening joint cooperation towards achieving the goals of Iraq Vision 2030 for sustainable development, in addition to uniting national and international efforts towards empowering and developing the Iraqi private sector.

    In turn, Ruedas expressed her sincere appreciation for the joint coordination that the Ministry of Planning is strengthening with UNAMI in the public and private sectors.

    She indicated that the UN mission is keen to increase international support and cooperation with the Iraqi government in its efforts for reconstruction, stability and the return of the IDPs.
