Head of the State of Law coalition Nuri al-Maliki asserted the need to nominate a prime minister who is able to overcome challenges and meet the demands of Iraqi people.
This came during his meeting with the French ambassador to Iraq, Bruno Uber where both discussed political and security developments in the country, and the future of bilateral relations between the two countries in the interest of the two friendly peoples.
Uber stressed that France has had a supportive position for Iraq in the war against terrorism, and that France is looking forward to increasing this role during the next period to include all fields.
"There is a necessity to adhere to the constitutional timing to resolve the candidacy of the Prime Minister, and a need to choose a person who is able to overcome challenges and meet the demands of the Iraqi people,” said al-Maliki.
In turn, Ambassador Uber expressed his country's full support for Iraq.
