Chief of Najaf police, Major General Ghanim Al-Ankoushi, announced that an investigation has been opened into the unknown plane that struck Al-Hanana, Najaf.
"The projectile that was found in Al-Hanana is home-made," said Al-Ankoushi.
He added that the event took place at three in the morning, noting that the security forces immediately went to the scene of the accident, accompanied by a team of specialists from the security services.
"The homemade projectile did not cause any human or material damage because the place is a closed security area,"
He explained that the explosion is only partial with the detonation of the thunderbolt only in addition to dough that did not explode and was taken to be examined to show its components and the investigation is ongoing to find out the source of this package.
For his part, the governor of Najaf, Ashraf Loay Al-Yasiri, denied the news that some social media reported around the fact that house of Sayyed Muqtada Al-Sadr was not attacked by the drone.
The governor affirmed that the local government, headed by the governor and the Police Command opened an immediate investigation around the incident given that Sayyed Muqtada Al-Sadr has Iraq as his first and last priority and to reform the situations of the country Iraq and push away the crises.
