Member of the House of Representatives MP Jamal Mohammadawi said that the election law, which came from the government and the second reading, will draw a new political map through the mechanism of distribution of seats, while describing the law as positive because it came to resolve the crisis of demonstrators. Al-Mohammadawi said in an interview with the Iraqi News Agency that many citizens have forms of party performance, indicating that the core aspect of the law is the road map through the mechanism of the distribution of seats, which divides 50% between the individual election and 50% of the lists.
He added that the current law is different from the new law, which will emerge from many paragraphs, including: giving the right of the candidate from the age of 25 years, while the current law set 30 years and this will give young people the opportunity to nominate to promote new votes.
