President Barham Salih discussed with the Special Representative of the Secretary-General of the United Nations the draft electoral law and launching the national dialogue to amend the Constitution.

President Salih received the Special Representative of the Secretary-General of the United Nations in Iraq, Jeanine Hennis Plasschaert  during which they discussed cooperation with the United Nations in reviewing the electoral system the statement said. Deputies, provincial and district councils and the Independent High Electoral Commission, which will hopefully be finalized soon by the presidential team, and emphasize the importance of securing logistical support to the Commission for the next elections.
