MOLSA announces the readiness to cooperate with UNICEF


Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs announced on Monday, the readiness to cooperate with the UNICEF in terms of activating the mutual programs between the two.

This came during the meeting between the Minister of Labor's and Social Affairs, Faruq al-Shwani and the representative of UNICEF in Iraq Hameeda Laseco.

The joint work will include the rehabilitation facilities of youngers where the General Manager of youngers rehabilitation directorate Arkan Thamir asserted that training and rehabilitation courses were given to the youngers to give them experience and to be active in the society.
According to a statement by the head of human rights cases in the ministry Kamil Ameen Hashim, Iraq will offer a document ot actual work for the workflow of Iraqi Government in terms or Children rights and that include the ministry to develop this sector, especially the youngers and children in general.

The Ministry is responsible to write a report to the Republic of Iraq that includes the Children Rights by cooperating with other ministers and the report to be presented in 2020.

On her part, UNICEF representative added that the Organization is committed to make a work plan to improve the projects and provide expertise to the Ministry to help writing the report about Children Rights.
