The Speaker of the House of Representatives Mohamed Halbousi discussed on Sunday with a number of sheikhs, dignitaries and religious scholars from the province of Basrah and its judiciary, in the presence of First Deputy Hassan al-Kaabi and the second deputy Bashir Haddad and heads of the parliamentary blocs in the service and problems in the province.
In a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency INA, al-Halbousi said that the meeting, he heard the problems of the province in the service side, and other files including compensation due to floods the spread of the drug phenomenon and its impact on young people and combating it.
Adding that Basra is common to all Iraqis because it gave to Iraq, and everyone is obliged to respond favourably to it. He added that the Council seeks during this session and in coordination with the government to work to resolve the most important problems of the province and to develop radical solutions to the file of services.
