Salih to Al Sabah: Iraq has a serious desire to build advanced relations with its neighbors

President Barham Salih said on Wednesday said that the relations between Iraq and Kuwait have made great strides forward, thanks to the wisdom and desire of the leaderships of the two countries to overcome the remnants of the past.

Salih welcomed Sheikh Sabah al-Ahmad and his accompanying delegation, hoping that this visit will be a good opportunity to turn the past and start a constructive relationship between the two brotherly neighbours.

The visit is an opportunity to discuss means of enhancing and developing cooperation between the two countries and resolving the outstanding issues between them, he said. Is the culmination of strong relations, stressing that Kuwait firmly believes in the importance of Iraq's security and stability.
