Salih praises the efforts of the Ministry of Water Resources and calls for the benefit of water reservoirs

The President of the Republic, Dr Barham Salih praised the efforts of the Ministry of Water Resources to prevent the danger of floods and reduce the damage caused by them, stressing the need to strengthen the work and take measures to protect cities, villages and agricultural land.

In a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency INA, Salih said during a meeting with the Minister of Water Resources Gamal Al-Adli, the importance of benefiting from the water reservoirs and developing it for the purposes of producing electricity and expanding the cultivated areas throughout Iraq. Stressing the periodic maintenance of dams and reservoirs to spare the country any natural disasters.For his part, Minister Al-Adli said that the ministry is exhausting all its human and financial resources in order to deal with the crisis of floods and floods, so as to preserve the safety of citizens and reduce the losses and the maximum use of water to increase areas of marshes.
