Al Halboosi discusses with Projerdi the promotion of bilateral relations

The Parliament Speaker Mohammed al-Halboosi met the member of the National Security and Foreign Policy Committee of the Iranian Shura Council and the head of the parliamentary delegation at the Baghdad Summit of the Parliaments of Iraq's Neighbouring Countries Mr. Aladdin Projerdi.

The meeting discussed the enhancement of relations between the two countries, activating parliamentary diplomacy and stressing the need for continued cooperation between Baghdad and Tehran in all fields for stability and development that will contribute to the stability of the region.

The Parliament Speaker offered his condolences to the Islamic Republic of Iran on the victims of the floods, expressing the solidarity of Iraq with neighbouring Iran in this crisis.For his part, Projerdi expressed the keenness of the Speaker of the Iranian Shura Council to attend the Baghdad Summit except the circumstances of Iran because of the crisis of floods, stressing his country's support for Iraq to restore stability.
