The Iranian President Hassan Rouhani arrived in Baghdad on Monday for a three-day official visit, Ina correspondent reported. In a statement before heading to Iraq President Rouhani said: “the relations with Iraq are very special”; stressing on... “Efforts to increase the volume of trade exchange with Iraq to 20 billion dollars”. He added: “Iran has many needs that can be supplied by Iraq, and we have important plans for this visit. We are keen to develop transportation lines between Iraq and Iran, along with attending to launch Iranian railways with Iraq; into the interest of both countries and visitors”.
President Rouhani also stressed that… ‘building industrial facilities is of interest to both countries’; as the issues of environment and dust are issues for which joint measures can be taken. We hope this visit will be in the interest of people, to develop relations between the two countries. Effective talks will take place in areas of health, trade, investment, transport, tourism and security."
