Al-Kaabi: Provincial elections to be on 16th of November

INA - BAGHDAD

The First Deputy Speaker of the Parliament Hassan al-Kaabi stated that the Independent High Electoral Commission – IHEC decided that the 16^th of November to be as the date of the Provincial Elections.

“Accordingly, the government is ought to make the full preparations for this event,” said al-Kaabi.

He also explained that the parliament will still be making amendments to the Law of Provincial Council NO. 12, 2018.

Among these amendments, is to separate the districts councils apart from the provincial council.
