PM: Iraq supports the Syrian efforts to mitigate the consequences of the earthquake

    Prime Minister Muhammad Shia' al-Sudani affirmed today, Thursday, that Iraq will continue to support the efforts of the Syrian government with all its capabilities to mitigate the repercussions of the earthquake on the Syrians.

    A statement by the Popular Mobilization Authority, received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), said: "The head of the Popular Mobilization Authority, Faleh al-Fayadh, conveyed to President Bashar al-Assad a message from Prime Minister Muhammad Shia al-Sudani, in which he offered his sincere condolences to al-Assad and the Syrian people for the victims of the devastating earthquake, stressing that Iraq will continue to support and support. The efforts of the Syrian government with all its capabilities to mitigate the repercussions of the earthquake on the Syrians. 

    Al-Fayyad stressed, according to the statement, that "the Iraqi people, in all its categories, hastened, since the first days of the disaster, to mobilize its energies to provide all kinds of aid and relief to its brothers in the affected Syrian areas, and it continues daily to send this aid.".
