Japanese Prime Minister Yoshihide Suga received the first dose of the "Pfizer-Biontech" vaccine to prevent Covid-19 today, Tuesday, in preparation for a meeting with US President Joe Biden next month.
Suga is the first Japanese government official to receive the vaccine publicly, and 80 to 90 officials will be vaccinated before heading to the United States early next month.
Suga will also become the first international leader to meet Biden after he takes office.
