The intelligence agency announced that a dangerous terrorist attack to target Imam Al-Kadhim visitors in Baghdad, had been foiled.
"The Federal Intelligence and Investigations Agency at the Ministry of Interior, under field supervision by the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Interior for Intelligence Affairs, managed to arrest a terrorist cell consisting of three terrorists who were recruited and prepared to carry out a suicide terrorist attack to target the visitors of the Imam Al-Kadhim, peace be upon him," included a statement by the Agency and received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA).
The arrest took place on Rusafa side in Baghdad as “the arrested statements were recorded in confession and they were arrested in accordance with the provisions of Article 4 of the Counter-Terrorism Law, where legal measures have been taken against them," according to the statement.
