Today, Saturday, the Ministry of Communications revealed efforts to open offices for WhatsApp and Facebook applications in Iraq.
The general manager of the Communications and Informatics Company, Basem Al-Asadi, told the Iraqi News Agency (INA): "Opening offices for WhatsApp and Facebook or other applications in Iraq is a goal that the ministry works in coordination with the Media and Communications Commission for the purpose of accessing it," pointing out that "this issue requires facilities. From the state and high-level coordination between the ministry and the agency, in addition to high coordination with the application authorities themselves, in order to persuade them to open offices for them in Iraq.
