Al-Halbousi stresses the importance of maintaining internal security and providing protection for citizens

 Parliament Speaker Muhammad al-Halbousi stressed, today, Tuesday, the importance of maintaining internal security and providing protection for citizens.

 The Information Office of the House of Representatives said in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), that "Al-Halbousi received Minister of Interior Othman Al-Ghanimi, and during the meeting they discussed developments in the security situation in the country."

 Al-Halbousi stressed, "the importance of preserving the country's internal security, providing protection for all citizens, and the need to strengthen the intelligence effort, and serious work to prosecute outlaws, and make greater efforts to reduce assassinations and restore security, stability and the rule of law."
