Ministry of Youth and Sport opened the international Kut olympic Stadium on Saturday.
The stadium set to contain around 20 thousand audience seats.
The opening ceremony started with a match between Kut and Mosul.
The opening of this stadium came as efforts to help lifting the total ban on Iraqi stadiums and provide facilities for the Iraqi Football.
“This is considered as a new fulfilment within large projects after opening Basra, Kerbla, Najaf and Maysan stadiums and al-Sha’ab stadium in Baghdad,” Minister of Youth and Sports, Abdul Hussein Abtan said in statement to (INA).
