Joint operations confirmed that the security forces had reached a high degree of skill and training enabling them to receive positions from the international coalition, while France indicated continued support for Iraqi forces.
The spokesman for the joint operations, Major General Tahsin al-Khafaji, told the Iraqi News Agency (INA), "The Iraqi security forces are able to maintain the security file, and this is what we have witnessed by demonstrating merit in fighting terrorist organizations."
He pointed out that "our security forces have reached a degree of professionalism and training, enabling them to receive positions from the international coalition, the last of which is within the Sixth Division."
