Shalamjah border port will be closed next Monday

The local government in Basra Governorate announced today, Thursday, the closure of the Shalamcheh border port, starting next Monday.

In a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency INA, the First Deputy Governor of Basra, Muhammad al-Tamimi, said: "It was decided to completely close the Shalamcheh border port starting next Monday."

Prime Minister Adel Abdul-Mahdi directed the delegation of the Crisis Cell to extend the moratorium on receiving immigrants from Iran, stressing the need to intensify awareness campaigns to prevent the disease.

The Prime Minister’s Office stated in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency that Prime Minister Adel Abdul Mahdi chaired this evening, Saturday, the fifth session of the commotion Committee No.55  for 2020 regarding Corona virus, in the presence of the Minister of Health and Environment and the Director of the World Health Organization office in Iraq and a number From officials.
