South General Electricity Company announced the inauguration of the first solar energy system of its kind to feed the country's departments with clean energy in Basra.
"This step is important and a unique experience through a serious trend towards renewable energy projects in feeding the state departments that will contribute to reducing energy consumption from traditional sources and thus energy transfer Surplus for the national network," the company's general manager Ziyad Ali Fadel said in a statement received by Iraqi News Agency INA.
The statement added that the project was implemented in building the General Company for transmission of electric energy in the south as the first government institution feeding on clean energy in the province.
