The AFC has chosen the Air Force team as the best club by reviewing the progress made by West Asian clubs in the Confederation Cup in the last decade after winning the championship three times in a row.
The Asian Confederation published on its website a statement followed by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), today, Thursday, that "five clubs have emerged remarkably in the West Asia region during the past decade, led by the Air Force, followed by Kuwait, Kuwaiti Qadisiyah clubs, the Syrian Union and the Lebanese era", noting that "The Air Force team prevailed in the scene during the second half of the past decade, as it took the podium in three years in a row, and presented distinguished levels that made it enhance the presence of Iraqi football on the continental level."
