The Integrity Commission revealed, today, Thursday, the severe detention of the former General Manager of Food Trade.
A statement of the organization received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA) stated that, "In its discussion of the ruling, the Investigation Department indicated that the debtor refrained from implementing the terms of the contract between the General Foodstuff Trading Company with a company, for the purpose of supplying the Ministry of Trade with a quantity (50) One thousand tons of sugar with a total amount of (62,400) million dollars, which caused damage to public money.
He added that "Al-Karkh Misdemeanor Court, which is concerned with integrity issues, after reviewing the evidence obtained in the case represented by the statements of the legal representative of the General Company for Foodstuff Trading who requested the complaint against the accused, and the administrative investigation conducted by the legal department at the Ministry of Trade, reached the full conviction of the negligence of the convict."
