International support to preserve the sovereignty of Iraq

    The Committee on Foreign Relations in the council of Representatives revealed that the Iraqi government has received the support of more than 60 countries, the right to maintain sovereignty

    Committee member Mokhtar Al-Mousawi told INA : There are more than 60 Arab and international countries that support Iraq in preserving its sovereignty, supporting its stability, and preventing escalation in the region. Al-Musawi said that these countries in addition to other countries supporting Iraq at this stage.

    As indicated by the representative of the Construction Alliance, Alia Nassif, in an interview with the Iraqi News Agency that Arab and foreign countries have interests in Iraq, so she expressed her support for Prime Minister Adel Abdul Mahdi, who received extensive contacts during the past days.

    Prime Minister Adel Abdul-Mahdi assured the American ambassador in Baghdad, Matthew Tooler, on the need to work to implement the withdrawal of foreign forces from Iraq, and stressed "Iraq’s keenness that its relations be based on cooperation, mutual respect, maintaining its security, stability and national sovereignty.

    And the council of Representatives voted by a majority, on a resolution calling on the government to end the foreign military presence on the country’s territory, and to submit a formal complaint to the Security Council against the United States for violating Iraqi sovereignty.
