President Barham Salih met the Japanese ambassador to Iraq, Naofumi Hashimoto and stressed the importance of respecting the will of the people for reform.
During the meeting, Salih emphasised the need to support the stability of Iraq and overcome the current challenges by respecting the will of the Iraqi people in reform and rejecting any external interference in internal politics.
The two discussed the importance of mutual relations between Iraq and Japan and means to improve it in all fields, as well as the benefit of Japanese experiences in the reconstruction process.
