Ministry of Transportation reveals to INA its plans to open new paths to invest in Iraqi airspace

The spokesman for the ministry, Salem Al-Sudani, said in a statement to the Iraqi News Agency (INA): The numbers of planes crossing the Iraqi airspace will increase in the next year, especially after obtaining the approval to open a third air corridor from Kuwait to the Turkish city of Kaban,"noting that "the Iraqi airspace I have seen clear aircraft movement at the moment.

Al-Sudani added that “about 600 planes fly in Iraqi air between arriving and leaving, and that transit fees are set at about 450 dollars per plane.” He pointed out that “it is hoped that the Iraqi airspace will become crowded as a result of obtaining approvals at the Paris conference to open a third air corridor from Kuwait.
