President Barham Saleh met a number of chairmen of parliamentary blocs and discussed the need to adhere to the constitutional times for choosing a prime minister for a temporary government that is satisfactory to him by the people.
Salih stressed the importance of studying the political and security conditions in the country, indicating the need to adhere to the constitutional timing to resolve the candidacy of the Prime Minister for an interim government and the necessity to choose a national, efficient and satisfactory person from the Iraqi people and able to accomplish the required reform benefits and be in charged with preparations to conduct fair elections in accordance with an electoral law that guarantees a fair representation of the people and their free will.
The President also asserted rejecting violence, confronting outlaws who target peaceful protests and public security, and emphasizing protecting constitutional rights of the peaceful demonstrations, expressing opinion and public security.
