IHEC extends the period of electoral alliances and receiving the candidate lists

INA – BAGHDAD

Independent High Electoral Commission – IHEC announced, on Sunday upon the extension of the electoral alliances period.

“The deadline of the electoral alliances will be on 17^th of November, 2019 and the date of receiving the lists of candidates will be on 20^th of November, 2019” said IHEC spokesman Riyadh al-Badran.

This came to give more time to the political parties and the candidates to make electoral alliances and register it in the office of parties’ affairs and political organizations as a preparation for participating in the elections of provincial council or the non-regional provinces.
