Salih: Turkey's military incursion into northern Syria will undermine anti-terrorism efforts and must be stopped

The President of the Republic, Dr. Barham Salih received French Foreign Minister Jean-Yves Le Drian and his accompanying delegation.

President Salih according to a statement received the need to intensify efforts to support Iraq in maintaining its security and stability, and not to give the opportunity for terrorist gangs to renew their activities, and threaten the security of the region and the world, especially as Iraq is still suffering from the devastating effects of the crimes of the terrorist organization Daesh.

He added that the Turkish military incursion in northern Syria will undermine the efforts of the international community in combating terrorism, stressing the need to stop the Turkish military operations in Syria and to urgently remedy the humanitarian disaster in the conflict areas.
