The Supreme Islamic Council condemns Turkey's incursion into eastern Syria

    The Supreme Islamic Iraqi Council expressed concern over the developments of the Turkish military incursion into Syrian territory and its serious repercussions on Iraqi security.

    The council stressed in a statement received by the Iraqi news agency, that the Turkish aggression has serious repercussions on the security of the region and the world as a result of the influx of thousands of dangerous terrorists and their families in the camp to neighboring areas, which threatens its security and stability, pointing to the danger of imposing the approach of military force On other countries, the escalation of violence in areas that have not yet recovered from the most dangerous terrorist gangs of the times.

    The statement added that the Supreme Council stands with the Syrian state, and its right to defend its sovereignty by all available means, calling on the UN Security Council and the international community to act immediately to stop the Turkish aggression against Syria, and to take measures to prevent the flow of thousands of terrorists outside their detention areas, as well as the protection of civilians who have begun Displacement from their areas.
