Al-Halabousi to Barzani: Controversial points between the federal government and the region can be addressed in accordance with the Constitution

Speaker of the House of Representatives Mohammed Halbousi, said  the points of disagreement between the region and the federal government can be addressed in accordance with the Constitution and constructive dialogue and partnership between all components of the Iraqi people.

The media office said in a statement received by INA that the Speaker of the House of Representatives met with the President of the Kurdistan Democratic Party Massoud Barzani, during an official visit to the Kurdistan region to meet a number of officials.

He added that the meeting discussed the political, economic and security situation in the country, and the latest regional and international developments, as both parties expressed concern about the situation and tensions in the region, noting that the two sides stressed the need for calm and avoid conflict to maintain stability.
