Foreign Minister Mohamed Ali al-Hakim discussed with Algerian Foreign Minister Sabri Boukadoum the strengthening of bilateral relations between the two countries.
During an official visit to Algeria to open new horizons of bilateral relations and to bridge cooperation in the interest of both peoples, Hakim expressed Iraq's desire to strengthen bilateral relations, a foreign ministry statement said. He stressed that Iraq seeks to strengthen relations with Algeria more effectively politically, culturally and economically.
Hakim added that Iraq is Algeria one of the pivotal countries in the Arab Maghreb, and must continue coordination between the two countries in various fields and to serve the interests, and Arab issues, especially the Palestinian cause. Arab in Cairo, especially since Iraq chairs the Council of the League at the ministerial level, calling investors from both countries to work together and exchange experiences.
