Youth and sports start qualifying the Olympic stadium

The Ministry of Youth and Sports has started work on the maintenance of the Olympic Stadium in Kut in preparation for receiving the local sporting events and the new football season.

The ministry said in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency on Sunday that maintenance work at the Olympic Stadium in Kut continued through cutting and fertilizing with the process of irrigation scheduled and periodically, in order to eliminate harmful insects and strengthen the ground, while continuing the watering process, adding that Maintenance work also included cleaning the trocar around the green rectangle and the excess of green grass, cleaning and maintenance of the sewage that surrounds the racetrack as well as the seats of the masses with interest in gardens and afforestation of the areas to appear in a way that improves the level of Iraqi sports.
