The Asia Pacific Group elected Iraq as its Coordinator on 5/8/2019, succeeding Pakistan as the former Coordinator of the Group.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs said in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency INA, on Monday, that the election of Iraq as a coordinator of the Asia-Pacific Group is an important achievement and appreciation of Iraq's efforts within UNCTAD Preparations for the next UNCTAD, which is to be held every four years, scheduled for October 2020 in Barbados, are a process in which the coordinators of various groups, including Iraq, will play a very important role.
