The Directorate of Military Intellegence announced on Wednesday that it has stopped infilterators from smuggling large quantities of medicines from Syria via the Sinjar area.
An announcement by the directorate, a copy of which received by INA, said that ‘Military intellegence detachments affiliated to the 72 nd infantry bregade, from the 15th devision, in coordination with the Intellegence departement from Nineveh operations command, succeded in thwarting an effort to smuggle large quantities of medicines by infilterators through Iraqi-Syrian borders heading for Ber Jari village in the northern Sinjar district near Mosul.
The announcement went on explaining that ‘all appropriate measures were duly taken for the medicines which were handed over to the authorities of concern.’
