Al-Rubaie and Toler discuss ways to develop the telecommunications sector in Iraq

Minister of Communications Naim Thajil al-Rubaie discussed on Sunday with US Ambassador Matthew Toler in Baghdad ways to develop the ICT sector in Iraq.

The media office said in a statement received by that Rubaie gave during the meeting a detailed explanation of the work and tasks of the Ministry of Communications and the most important difficulties and obstacles to the work and the most prominent Internet service.

He added that the minister talked about the most important projects and achievements achieved by his ministry during the last few years, and most important to lay the foundations for the project of electronic automation within the applications of e-governance project, adding that the ministry opened the prospects for cooperation and joint work with a number of ministries,  As well as the preparation of integrated studies for the repair of communication networks and the Internet in Iraq and developed to be the thresholds of developed countries in this area.
