Iraqi parliament gives confidence to three nominated ministers and rejects fourth

INA – BAGHDAD

Iraqi parliament voted positively in its session on Monday for three ministers (out of four); as said in a statement of the Parliamentary Media office (Ina received a copy of). Those Ministers being: Najah Al-Shammari as Defense Minister, Yasin Al-Yasiri as Interior Minister, and Farouk Amin Al- Showani as Minister of Justice. The parliament also voted to relieve Shaima Al-Hayali of her duties and reject nominating Safana Al-Hamdani for Education Minister.

A parliamentary source told Ina: “Voting for a new Education Minister will take place at next Thursday’s parliamentary session”.
