The head of the Committee on Health and Environment Parliamentary Qutaiba Ibrahim Jubouri, on Monday, stop the procedures related to the transfer of waste and radioactive waste until the establishment of sound and safe grounds for disposal to preserve the safety and lives of the Iraqi people .
The topic was discussed during a meeting with Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research Dr. Qusay al-Suhail and Minister of Health and Environment Alaa Alwan at the Health and Environment Committee in the House of Representatives, Jubouri said in a statement.
Jubouri said that the Minister of Health and Environment reviewed the procedures of his ministry represented by the Center for Radiation Protection and it was agreed to suspend the procedures until the submission of a full and detailed study by the two ministries to the Health and Environment Committee for the purpose of submission to the Speaker of the House of Representatives Mohamed Halbusi,
