Iraq appointed former water resources minister Hassan al-Janabi as a resident ambassador and extraordinary commissioner to the Turkish Republic.
In a statement to the Iraqi News Agency Al-Janabi said that "President Barham Salih signed a decree appointing me as a special ambassador and delegate to Iraq to the Turkish Republic."
"I will once again represent my country with this honorable mission and will endeavor to represent national interests in the best and most beautiful way. As usual, I will ensure that my door remains open to all and that I am the best supporter of the Iraqi community in Turkey.
