Iraq's Minster of Trade, MohammedHashim al-Ani, announced, on Wednesday, the amounts of marketed local wheat in nine provinces have reached 1372852 tons till 21st of current May.
Al-Ani said in a statement, which INA received a copy of, that the amount of marketed wheat for the period from 15th of April, 2019 till 21st of May 2019, have reached 1372852 tons, which 1269198 tons of it were of the soft first class wheat. The Minister added that the total amount of marketed soft second class wheat have reached 100156 tons, while the third class marketed quantities have reached 3498 tons.
Al-Ani referred that Wassit province was the first among other provinces, pointing that the marketing campaign launched in BaghdadRusafa, Dhiqar, Basra, Meisan, Wassit, Samawa, Najaf, Diwaniya, Hilla, Kerbala and Babil.
